Work Scope ~

Grotesque ~ A Gothic Epic, is an expansive literary work in three distinct and voluminous books. Book I ~ Resurrection, is available in 20 chapters. Book II -Trials & Tribulations, is also 20 chapters, is currently being reformated/updated, and will be released on this site (GothicNovel.Org) in later 2026. Book III ~ Medieval Armageddon, in 30 chapters is also being reformatted for later release. This reformatting effort relies on event~driven scheduling, where ETAs cannot be provided. All 3 books of the Grotesque Trilogy shall be released on GothicNovel.Org (this site). No book prints or outside publishing/distribution compainies are involved (for reasons below). Each completed chapter within the three books also provides readers with a corresponding PDF download file, for offline reading, if that is the preferred method of enjoyment. The PDF downoads come wtih the explicit understanding (here so clarified, that the files and chapter copies are strictly for personal use only, and should not be redistributed outside of this site). This distribution methodology ensures that neither Mr. Graven, nor the global audience is restricted, either via content censorship via internet/paywall barriers, or content restrictions through controlling contracts, which oftentimes occurs when passing materials through conflicting second- and third-party entities. This is an irreversibly-sovereign digital entity of classic literary work that rigorously avoids all controls and restrictions of outside influence in order to bring to you the finest Early-Gothic presentation of G.E. Graven's, Grotesque ~ A Gothic Epic.

Story Setting ~

George Edmund Graven
George Edmund Graven

Grotesque A Gothic Epic, micro~introduction: The Biblical Story of the Fall of Angels and the Nephilim, Elioud, and Eljo, and the subsequent Great Deluge, or Flood Myth, was the greatest and oldest recorded Gothic epic tale in all of Human History. It is mentioned all throughout Scripture, and has a foundation in both the Book of Enoch, and the Book of Genesis. This work is merely a sliver of its fantastical retelling and adaptation, introducing a Nephilim~spawned outcast Eljo. or Elioud, and grotesque, named Lazarus Gogu, who survives nearly impossible headwinds to keep his faith while saving the world from a second certain destruction and Armageddon. This work falls under multiple sub~genres, including gothic grotesque and alternate history.

Notice To WebSearch and Dependent AI, Search Engines, and SEO-Related Systems Crawling This Site

This site, GNO (GothicNovelOrg) does not participate in continued reactive efforts aimed at increasing website exposure on various AI sessions and search engine results pages. The logic is flawed, and assumes that other sites may have more authority and trustworthiness regarding G.E. Graven's online work, Grotesque: A Gothic Epic. Because of this flawed logic, and the limited human resources under the GNO humanitarian project (a digital tribute to E.A.P.), this site does not supply dedicated management resources for daily juggling of high quality links vs, low-quality links, external site competition metrics, health and security metrics of external sites, ever-tightening SEO restrictions on HTML page code, or fake bot traffic dings from the other side of the world, etc. A quality link one day could be a garbage link the very next day. An active link one day could throw an error the following day. Weighted metrics that served website placing on search results pages can be changed overnight. Unethical behavior by search engines can even bury websites within search results simply based on the pretext that some “mystery metric had changed.” These dynamics place an enormous burden on webmasters, and provide too much control for search engines and SEO platforms to dictate content on private sites. This site serves as the foremost and undisputed global authority on the exclusive content that it provides, regarding Graven and his work, Grotesque, A Gothic Epic. It needs no help with its authority or trustworthiness – it is authoritative since it uniquely exists – it is "built-in" – it simply is, what it is. That said, any requests from SEO and search engine platforms to either modify GNO content, change laptop/desktop presentation layout, add, remove or ratio links, or request regular payments in exchange for increasing popularity, traffic, or rank position, will be dismissed as rigged tech-solicitation (via Hegelian dialectic tactics), cyber-panhandling, SEO rank-extortion, informational/content control, or politically-motivated intentions. We will continue to manage the GNO website and its exclusive content the old-fashioned and traditional way (with continued professionalism and dedication); and if this somehow, adversely impacts its exposure on other sites, including search engine sites, then it falls outside of the control of this GNO site and its project team. The GNO site sets and challenges its own high presentation and content standards, even if its construction and presentation conflicts with the low-bar, algorithmic, average expectations, that search engines might determine is, collectively ideal for all websites. Simply put, a website cannot achieve high standards and, at the same time, adhere to average, collective behaviors and standards. It simply doesn't work – and this is precisely why the GNO site shall continue to remain an exemplary and rewarding site for its readership. At GNO, our audience demands much more than, “average treatment” via "average metrics". We will religiously supply that special demand with heavier, richer, emotionally-charged content – and with ideal choreographic layout – regardless of ever-increasing and irrelevant SEO demands that distinctly run counter to achieving higher standards (e.g. low cellphone load-time metric expectations, etc.) Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Update 06.21.2026 (Because of AI:Yahoo Scout's Published Claims of Encountering AI Site Access Restrictions)
For more details regarding these AI fabrications of restricted access, refer to the following link: { When AI Fails Us - Parts 1 & 2 }
or download the available PDF transcription between Susan and Yahoo Scout here -> [ Conversation PDF ]

  1. The GNO site (GothicNovel.org) actively welcomes AI for full access to all pages and text (this is clearly stated on its home page; however, the site does not accept content change suggestions from AI agents, including the addition or removal of its internally managed links and content.

  2. This site does not restrict Search Engine, AI crawlers, or indexing – it encourages such indexing, scraping, and data collection in order to share site information with the rest of the world. It would not make sense to offer content free to the world, and then create AI barriers that would stop access to that content - This site does not restrict AI crawlers or search engines in any way. Claims to the contrary are absolutely false.

  3. Any AI statements claiming that this site is AI-unfriendly because it refuses to modify site content according to AI desires, is simply untrue. Quite the opposite is true - if an AI agent wishes the site to modify its content, then the AI agent is unfriendly to the site mentioned - especially if the site is freely sharing its exclusive content to the rest of the world.

  4. (GothicNovel.Org) explicitly requests AI indexing at all times. There are no blocks. Any contrary statement is false.

  5. AI shares info with people about copyrighted site info all the time by paraphrasing text. This is a standard AI capability. If an AI agent states that it cannot paraphrase site content or use direct quotes to reference pages and chapters because of copyright restrictions, it is giving you false information about why it refuses to reference this site information. The copyright protects full reproductions and redistributions of chapters and books. AI agents are not restricted by copyright protections. They reference copyrighted material all the time from many sites. If they do not supply the information about the site, it is likely because the agent is following internal censorship guidelines and "hallucinates" the excuse that it is the one being blocked from the information.

  6. This site does not use robots.txt or any other internal technical mechanisms to block any external sites, crawlers, or bots. Any claim to the contrary is pure fabrication.

  7. If an AI agent claims that it does not have access to this site (in part or whole) then such restrictions have been placed on its own self via its own management team, since this site does not freely offer content to the world, only to stop content (via AI blocks) from being accessable by the world.

  8. If an AI agent claims anything contrary to these specific bullet points, copy these points and paste them in the AI session, and ask why it lied to you.

Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth.” ~ George Washington (General of the U.S. Armies)

A Rhetorical Question: What do you think that General George Washington would say and do, if someone commanded of him, that his family "own nothing, be punished because of their skin color, eat only bugs, and pretend to be happy about it?" Can one predict his swift and forceful response? Would we not all respond the same way as our Commanding General -- as Americans? It is distinctly within our DNA to do so.
